Announcing the Fifth Annual Gaea Retreat Center Earth Day Festival!

Who: You!
What: Camp Season Opener
When: April 17th – 19th
Where: Gaea Retreat Center http://earthday.campgaea.org
Why: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Renew!
How: All your Hard Work!

The season opener for Camp is great time and place to learn about Earth-friendly/Green products and practices.

We are proud to announce The Sonic Sidhe Tribe will be performing in the Pavilion on Saturday night from 7:00 – 8:00. The Tribe consists of tribal drums, guitars, various melody instruments, singers, and fire performers! Created in 2004 under the name Whiskey for Breakfast, The Tribe released their first album “The Source” in August 2007. You may recognize them from the Kansas City Renaissance Festival. A communal fire and drumming will follow.

This year we will have a Children’s Tent with green activities and crafts planned for the next generation of Campers. We will also have Merchants displaying Earth-friendly products and services. Merchants may set-up for free; electrical hook-up is an additional $20. If you are interested in being a Merchant for Earth Day, please visit the link above.

This year, in an effort to foster growth as a Community, Rhi is planning Community Meals! Both Friday and Saturday night we will come together to create fabulous culinary delights and dine as a family. An announcement with more detail is forthcoming.

The cost to register for Earth Day is $15.00 for the whole weekend (children 5 and under get in for free), or 3 hours of work exchange. Limited cabin bunk space is available for an additional $10.00 or an additional 2 hours of work exchange (work exchange positions are still available). Please register online at http://earthday.campgaea.org to determine which cabin bunks are still available. You may pay registration fees with PayPal or print a registration form and mail it in with a check or money order. The cut-off for online registration is April 3rd!

Thank you
