Over the dam

I heard that NOBODY is allowed to drive over the dam to drop of camping gear. I hope that is not correct. I have a health condition and would not be able to get my gear over there if that is the case.

Traffic across the dam is restricted. Vechiclees are allowed to cross the dam on a "need" basis. If someone "needs" to cross the dam all they need to do is ask the caretakers and as long as there are no weather concerns they will unlock the gate for the individual.

As far as the far side of the lake goes, the road work we had done has completed and that has greatly removed the concerns for damage due to rutting and such in that area.

Though the dam integrity will continue to remain a concern which is the reason for limiting the access across the dam for any that do not need it.
