Spring

The maiden of spring
Pads softly on earth
She spreads out her veil
In merriment and mirth
One glance from her eyes
Causes lush virescent
A Single soft sigh
Gives zephyr a spring scent
Single touch of soft skin
Now grass green so fine
The sun’s light rays
Makes all green shine

The maiden of spring
Sings songs so sweet
All birds in green trees
Now twitter and tweet
Everything’s now green
At least that’s to be
So now that she’s done
It’s time to flee
She picks up her veil
Pads softly away
She’ll come back next year
On the first spring day

Lady Night

Diamonds thrown on all
Her black velvet dresses.
And her silver tiara glows
Sitting upon her tresses.
She goes dancing in the woods,
And on mountain tops she lays.
She creeps across the valleys,
And in the city she plays
Every time the day does fade,
And the sea puts out the sun’s light.
She rises from her bed,
And stays out all night.

I was watching as her blue clad paramour
Offered trinkets to his lady love
Baubles fashioned from the ornately
Crafted abodes of the creatures that
He tends. Accepting his bewitching gifts,
And adoring her fertile
Body, she dons a tawny dress and waits
For him by the light of a silvery
Lantern. That hangs against a
Velvet cloth strewn with shimmering diamonds
All rest above the entwined lovers,
One a part of the others, yet both a
Separate body. His
Waves gently washing over her curved
Figure, she calls his name under her breath.
