Some news about the burn....
We have been keeping a close eye on the weather forecast, and as I'm sure you guys know, it doesn't look promising. We have decided to postpone the spring burn to season-opening weekend, April 4th & 5th. A lot of the grasses will be greened up by that time, but there should still be plenty of fuel on the dam and in the native grass area. Sorry for the disappointment, but it appears Gaea herself has other plans.
For those of you still coming out this weekend, we will be working on brush cleanup in the campsites and ritual areas that are dry enough to get to without tearing them up. There is a lot of grounds work that needs to be done prior to Earth Day and storm damage to clean up, have no fear, we can use your help. If you are not planning to come out and have made cabin reservations, please let us know. Thanks!
