Thanks for another wonderful issue of the newsletter. I know how much work it takes to pull one together and it is really appreciated.

With no disrespect intended to anyone I just wanted to point out a statement that raised my ire. I expect it was unintended but I figured this was one of those times to point out how we have to be careful how we use the words we use.

On page 2 of the Fall Newsletter the information on the Mabon Ritual includes the statement, "All Lushede rituals are family friendly, so we ask that you come clothed."

While I assume the intent was simply to inform potential participants that this was an event where nudity was not appropriate, this statement implies that naturism or nudism is not a family-friendly lifestyle. Knowing many who were raised in nudist parks or in nudist families and having visited many nudist beaches and venues I would have to be quite clear that it most certainly is family-friendly. If you prefer an event to be clothing-required that is fine, but please don't make it appear judgmental and anti-nudist.

A suggestion on how to word this in a friendlier way could be: "Please note that nudity is not appropriate at this event."

Hugs all, DugsterM

first i would like to thank all my new and old friends for a very plesent season. my wife and i felt relaxed and at ease on all of our visit.

i enjoyed working several of the fests and lbld in first aid. and i loved every minute of it. my wife loved the shopping at all the booths. we are hoping to continue visiting gaea and enjoy her peace.

i will start to build a first aid cabinett for all to use and heal for the coming year. if my wife and i can be of any service please feel free to contact us

Thank you for bringing up your point and comments on word crafting. It was our intent to convey that nudity would be inappropriate at this event, not to pass judgement on naturists. We stand corrected and we appreciate you pointing it out. Sometimes the simple direct approach eludes us all and shades of meaning can really muddy the water.

Best wishes for a warm winter. I look forward to seeing you again next year!
