Imbolg 2012
Gaea Retreat Center
January 28, 2012
Activities begin at 2pm
Ritual at 6pm
Feast to follow ritual
Across the Northern Hemisphere, livestock are beginning to produce life nourishing milk and give birth to the next generation. In Scotland, the feast of Oilmec literally translates into English as ewe’s milk. The Irish refer to this Fire Festival as Imbolg. This is a time to prepare for the coming of Spring.
Please join us at Gaea Retreat Center on January 28th to celebrate the rebirth of the Earth and Brighid. The festivities will begin at 2pm. We will be giving offerings of strength to Brighid and ourselves. Bring something to give to the infant Brighid. These items should be Earth-friendly as they will eventually be left out at Gaea.
The feast will follow the ritual. The main dish will be provided. The ritual will be hosted by Veronica & Rhi.
