2010 Gaea Calendars now on sale!!
The 2010 calendar has a photo of camp for each month, and also contains all of the moon phases, equinoxes, solstices, the 8 Sabbaths & the dates Gaea celebrates them, ERI Board of Director Meetings, Cabin Sponsor Meetings, the 4 exclusive events dates, and all ERI Sponsored events dates.

The cabin sponsorship originally began with a way of rewarding the individuals that came out and spent a significant amount of time at Camp Gaea doing community service on a regular basis. As such it started with a way to reward those that came out and cleaned up the cabins before and after the major exclusive events.
As the camp has progressed and become more active with the wide array of non-exclusive events and individuals that stay out on a regular basis the program has evolved with this as a way to ensure the cabins are kept in good shape throughout the year while at the same time ensuring the caretakers that they have some individuals out on a regular basis to help them out with the day to day issues and needs of Camp Gaea as a whole.
The expectations of being a Cabin Sponsor are relatively low. The Cabin Sponsors are expected to come out or have a friend come out for them and perform a certain number of hours of community service per month. Those hours vary during the year and become much less during the winter due to the needs of Camp Gaea being less then the other months of the year. They are also expected to clean the cabin before and after each of the Exclusive events during the year.
In return the Cabin Sponsors get quite a bit of bonuses. Everything from a storage space to store items that they would otherwise have to haul back and forth on a regular basis. They and their children are able to stay at camp for free during the year, with the exception being when they attend festivals, they must still pay the normal price for festivals. They can bring a guest with them that gets a discounted rate.
